Congratulations...you achieved special recognition for sales achievement in 2009!
Now that the announcement is out and your agent website has been updated with your video from Jamie you may be wondering how you can leverage this tool to expand your business. After all, you earned the recognition so why not make it work for you?
Here are some ideas for maximizing your award:
1. Attach the video to your facebook page - I think Stefanie covered this one already; but I wanted to stress it because it is so important. I know ten seconds of a video with Jamie standing in front of a blue backdrop may not seem too exciting to you, your clients and friends will find it interesting (and will be thrilled to hear you being recognized for your accomplishments). Don't take my word for it...give it a shot!
2. Take the time to thank everyone, even those who aren't on facebook - Thankfully not all your clients/prospects are sharing their lives with you via some social media channel, so you may need to reach out to them where they live. Thankfully, the Emarketing center of Coldwell Banker Works allows you to send ecards to anyone for whom you have an email address AND put in the video from Jamie. Look at the example I put together in about three minutes online (which I then emailed to myself just to test). Imagine if you sent this to all your clients with a quick thank you to them for making you successful? Referral city...
3. Use the press release to your advantage (or better yet create your own)- As promised, Coldwell Banker Hearthside issued a press release naming everyone who achieved sales awards in 2009. Check it out here. The release is built using a site called PRLog.org; and guess what...it's free! Releases submitted through the PRLog site are indexed for Google, and get great placement. So why not create one (or 100) releases about your award? Use the quote from Jamie (which you have proof he said) congratulating you for your achievement, or talk to your manager(s) and get them to add some verbiage that you could use in your release. Then talk about the areas where you do business (Google will pick them up too) and any specialties you have. While admittedly this one is not awards-specific (anyone can write a press release online) you have a leg up on the competition!
So don't just think of that award as "something I did last year"...rather look at it as something you can leverage to do it again this year.
Here's to seeing you achieve an even higher level of success in 2010!

Glad you still have this blog. Frenchtown still has a blog, if not for anything else the agents to check for the schedule and sometimes even use what we put out there. But what happened, did we miss something? I check out all the other offices and see some stopped back in 2008 others slipped off in mid 2009. Mortgage Mobility dropped off also which suprises me.Just wondering.Barbara
Barbara I like to tell people that blogging is like going to the gym; you either get into it or you let it go. I have to admit I was in the "let it go" category for some time but I decided to make it a 2010 priority. Glad you like it and are reading along.
If you're not already, be sure to read Stefanie's blog too http://www.techdaze.net as she offers great info for agents pretty regularly.
As for MM, we're working on Mike Storti to get the ball rolling again. In the meantime you may want to check out his new Facebook fan page - I think it is a favorite page on the CBH fan page already.
Chris...how exactly do you get the video into the ecard? I started to make one, and added the link to the video in the message section, but it doesn't seem to show the video like it does in your example...just the link shows.
